Colon-targeted protein delivery by using solid lipid nanoparticles

Recently, therapeutic proteins have been used to combat life-threatening diseases. To date, oral routes developed deliver proteins. Since the proteolytic degradation in upper gastrointestinal tract frequently occurs, we need a formulation and strategy protect protein colon. In this research, solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) were prepared eight formulae for colon-targeted delivery with various glyceryl monostearate, Tween 80, soy lecithin, polyethylene glycol 6000 concentrations. Bovine serum albumin (BSA) was model system. All characterized by their morphology, particle size, polydispersity index (PDI), zeta potential, entrapment efficiency. The distribution of sizes varied between 94.24 186.8 nm potential value ranged from −22.8 −34.3 mV. Formula 4 (F4) showed best efficiency 78.69% size 102.1 nm, PDI 0.349, −26.1 F4 then coated Eudragit S100 measured its drug release profile vitro. held released gastric all BSA colon condition. These results indicated that BSA�SLN could be promising system obtain optimal parameters.
